Description of the campsite
Quinta do Maral is a rural naturist camping park in Cabeçudos, in the parish (freguesia) of Santo António das Areias (Marvão), in the heart of the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park, Portalegre. The estate covers 10 hectares and is geared towards family naturism. It has pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents — the latter in the coolest, shaded area — as well as accommodation for those who prefer a bed and extra comforts. The site also stays open in winter and has a bar. The area offers hiking trails, horse riding and cycling, as well as rivers, castles and medieval villages nearby.
Access with a caravan or motorhome: follow the arrival directions on the campsite's website. The campsite warns that some shortcuts suggested by GPS are not passable for these vehicles.
