Campsites near the beach open all year round in Murcia

How we made this page

The 2026 season comes from the official website of each campsite and other sources we cross-check, or from what the campsite itself states on its page. We only count a month as open when the published dates cover the whole month.

“Near the beach” means the campsite is on the coast according to its location; we do not count inland campsites with a river or lake beach.

We do not know the availability of each day: confirm dates and places with the campsite (each campsite page has its phone number and website). Page generated on 24/10/2026.

Camping in Murcia: the Costa Cálida, the Mar Menor and sierras to discover

The Region of Murcia is one of the most privileged camping destinations on the Iberian Peninsula. With more than three hundred days of sunshine a year and mild temperatures even in winter, the camping season stretches over practically the whole calendar. The Costa Cálida, the name given to the Murcian coastline, combines beaches of fine sand, coves of volcanic rock and a clear sea that invites you to swim from March to November.

The Mar Menor is the region's most characteristic jewel. This saltwater lagoon, separated from the Mediterranean by La Manga del Mar Menor, has calm, warm, shallow waters that make it the perfect setting for families with small children and for getting started in water sports such as windsurfing, kitesurfing, paddleboarding or dinghy sailing. Camping near the Mar Menor means having access to two seas within minutes: the lagoon on one side and the open Mediterranean on the other, with its seabed rich in Neptune grass and marine life, ideal for snorkelling and diving. To the south, the area around Mazarrón and Águilas holds practically unspoilt coves that surprise those who discover them for the first time.

Inland Murcia shows a completely different face. Sierra Espuña Regional Park has forests of Aleppo pine and Spanish fir, hiking and mountain bike routes for all levels, and historic structures such as the snow wells, where ice collected in winter was stored to supply the towns of the plain in summer. Calblanque Regional Park, on the coast, preserves one of the wildest stretches of coastline in the south-east of the Peninsula, with fossil dunes, undeveloped beaches and a landscape of great ecological value. The Ricote Valley, dotted with palm groves and irrigation channels of Arab origin, runs through one of the most photogenic vegas in the whole region, with villages clinging to the hillside that preserve their medieval layout.

Culturally, Cartagena stands out for an exceptional Roman heritage: the Roman Theatre, the Roman Theatre Museum and the Roman Forum Quarter let you travel through two thousand years of history in a single walk. Caravaca de la Cruz, one of the five holy cities of the world, attracts pilgrims and travellers with its castle-sanctuary and its old town declared of special interest. Lorca has a medieval fortress that dominates the city and a Holy Week famous throughout Spain for its embroidery and spectacular processions.

Murcian campsites cater for every style of travel: tent pitches, areas set aside for caravans and motorhomes with full water and electricity hook-ups, equipped bungalows for those who prefer more comfort, and glamping options that combine the natural experience with comfort. The cuisine completes the experience: caldero del Mar Menor, Murcian salad, zarangollo, marineras and the fruit and vegetables of the huerta, known as the Orchard of Europe, make the Murcian table one of the best reasons to extend your stay.
