Campsites near the beach open all year round in Cádiz

How we made this page

The 2026 season comes from the official website of each campsite and other sources we cross-check, or from what the campsite itself states on its page. We only count a month as open when the published dates cover the whole month.

“Near the beach” means the campsite is on the coast according to its location; we do not count inland campsites with a river or lake beach.

We do not know the availability of each day: confirm dates and places with the campsite (each campsite page has its phone number and website). Page generated on 24/10/2026.

Camping in Cádiz: endless beaches, open winds and villages with soul

Cádiz is the Andalusian province that packs the greatest diversity of landscapes and experiences into the smallest space. The Costa de la Luz, its Atlantic strip, offers some of the longest and best-preserved beaches on the whole Peninsula: Bolonia, with its sand dune advancing over the remains of the Roman city of Baelo Claudia; Zahara de los Atunes, with kilometres of white sand and clean water; El Palmar, a favourite of surfers for its constant swell; and Caños de Meca, in the surroundings of La Breña Natural Park, where the pines reach down to the shore. Tarifa, at the southernmost tip of Europe, is the world capital of windsurfing and kitesurfing, and on clear days you can see the African coast from its beaches, with the Strait of Gibraltar as the backdrop.

The interior of Cádiz hides one of the most highly valued landscapes in Andalusia. The Sierra de Grazalema, declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, protects forests of Spanish firs (pinsapos), a tree species that survived from the Tertiary era and grows on the dampest slopes of the sierra. The white villages scattered across it, such as Grazalema, Zahara de la Sierra, Olvera, Setenil de las Bodegas and Castellar de la Frontera, form an internationally recognised route that mixes vernacular architecture, gastronomy and hiking. The natural park has waymarked trails of different levels of difficulty, river canyons, gorges and viewpoints from which you can see the mountains stretching to the horizon of the Strait.

The city of Cádiz is one of the historic jewels of Spain. Founded by the Phoenicians more than three thousand years ago, its old town is almost completely surrounded by the ocean, with a distinctive light that has inspired painters and travellers for centuries. The La Viña district, the central market, the New Cathedral and the Castillo de Santa Catalina are part of an urban fabric that is best explored on foot. Jerez de la Frontera adds the world of sherry, flamenco and the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art. El Puerto de Santa María and Sanlúcar de Barrameda, with their seafood and their views over the Guadalquivir marshes, complete a triangle of culture and gastronomy without equal.

The cuisine of Cádiz is a compelling reason to visit the province. Fried fish (pescaíto frito) is the local standard-bearer, made with the day's fresh fish in olive oil at the perfect temperature. Bluefin tuna from the almadraba, caught using an age-old technique in the waters of the Strait, reaches its finest culinary expression in Zahara and Barbate. Shrimp fritters, marinated dogfish, baby squid and sherry wines complete a gastronomic offer that turns every stop in the province into a pleasure. Cádiz is a camping destination for everyone: families looking for quiet beaches, wind sports enthusiasts, mountain hikers, history lovers and travellers who simply want to go camping in a good atmosphere with honest food.
