Description of the campsite
The emerald-green Verdon runs alongside the pitches for almost a kilometre, and that is the first reason to stay. It is an independent, family-run campsite, run by the same family since 1959, on an estate beside the river at 660 m altitude. It has three areas: Centre, Cerisier and Hauteurs, the latter with panoramic mountain views, and all pitches measure at least 100 m². There is a heated pool with a paddling pool and an accommodation unit on stilts at the water's edge. The Gorges du Verdon are 8 km from Castellane, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Opening dates should be checked with the campsite.
