Description of the campsite
Castellane watches over the entrance to the Verdon gorges from a crag crowned by a chapel, with the river making its way between limestone walls that form one of the deepest canyons in Europe. Camping Huttopia Gorges du Verdon offers bungalows and glamping tents in the heart of nature, with a bar, barbecues and a playground, as well as a swimming pool, pétanque and hiking routes that climb to the rim of the canyon. Dogs are allowed and there is a spa and wifi throughout the site, with the Verdon river beach a short distance away. It is a classic base for paddling down the canyon by canoe or visiting its viewpoints. The exact opening dates are still to be confirmed with the campsite.
