Parque de Campismo do Freixial is next to the Ribeira da Baságueda, 11 km from the town of Penamacor and just 6 km from the Spanish border, near the Serra da Malcata Nature Reserve. It is open from 1 June to 30 September, from 10:00 to 20:00. Facilities include a seasonal swimming pool, restaurant, supermarket, laundry with washing machine, children's playground, table tennis and bicycle rental. It has electricity, hot showers and wifi. Dogs are allowed and barbecues may be used. The setting, free of built-up areas, is marked by valleys, streams and riverside vegetation such as ash and alder trees.
