Description of the campsite
Camping Pião, run by the Covilhã Camping and Caravanning Club, is set in the heart of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, on the national road linking the city of Covilhã with the Torre, the highest point in mainland Portugal, about 4 km from Covilhã and about 10 km from the Torre. The mountain setting is one of its distinctive features, with access to activities and places of interest in the serra. The campsite has hot showers and electricity for the pitches.
