Description of the campsite
Espira-de-Conflent nestles at the foot of the Canigó, the sacred mountain of the Catalans of Roussillon, in the Conflent valley, near Prades. Camping Le Canigou takes its name from that massif that dominates the horizon, and offers a swimming pool, a restaurant and a takeaway food service that makes day trips to the villages of the valley easier. The bar is a meeting point at dusk, when the peaks turn red, and the site's supermarket saves unnecessary trips. The bungalows provide shelter for those who do not bring their own equipment. It is best to check the opening and closing dates with the campsite.
