Description of the campsite
Vernet-les-Bains nestles at the foot of the Canigó, the sacred mountain of Roussillon, in a valley of thermal waters that already attracted visitors in the nineteenth century. Camping L'Eau Vive, whose name refers precisely to those waters, has bungalows alongside a bar and a pool with views of the massif, plus a spa that continues the village's thermal tradition. Hiking towards the Canigó or the abbey of Saint-Martin-du-Canigou starts practically at the campsite door. It is advisable to check the exact dates of the full season before heading up.
