Limeuil crowns the confluence of the Dordogne and the Vézère, two of the most famous rivers of the Périgord, with a terraced medieval village that dominates the landscape from the top of its hill. Camping Les Poutiroux is set near this river confluence with a pool, a bar and a takeaway food service, ideal after a canoe trip down either of the two rivers. The glamping tents are a comfortable alternative for those without their own tent, and the barbecue area brightens summer nights in the Périgord. It is a prime spot for exploring the medieval castles and bastides that dot the whole Périgord Noir area. It is advisable to ask the campsite about dates.
