Coux-et-Bigaroque-Mouzens occupies a quiet corner of the Périgord Noir, among the meanders drawn by the Dordogne on the way to Beynac and Sarlat, in a landscape of limestone cliffs and castles above the river. Camping Le Clou combines bungalows and glamping tents with a pool, its own restaurant and a takeaway food service, as well as a setting ideal for resting after days of hiking along the paths that climb to the neighbouring villages. The campsite is open for the full season: it is best to book in advance in the middle months of summer, when the tourist Dordogne draws the most visitors.
