Mimizan combines an inland village next to the Courant de Mimizan, a channel connecting Lake Aureilhan with the Atlantic, and a seaside resort with one of the widest beaches in the Landes, backed by dunes and pine woods. Camping La Lande, a seasonal campsite, has a bar, bungalows, takeaway food, a gym, a playground, fishing, pétanque, a swimming pool and a restaurant, and accepts pets. It is a very complete base for surfing, fishing on the lake or canoe trips along the Courant to the sea itself. As this is a seasonal campsite, it is best to confirm the exact opening dates before planning your stay.
