Description of the campsite

La Côte Sauvage is in Saint-Clément-des-Baleines, at the western tip of the Île de Ré, where the famous Whales lighthouse has watched for over a century over the stretch of coast most battered by the Atlantic on the whole island. The name of the village recalls the strandings of cetaceans that made this wild extremity famous. The campsite has a bar, barbecues, takeaway food, a restaurant, a playground, pétanque and wifi, a range designed for spending your whole stay there, between walks through the pine woods and trips down to the nearby beach. As the season status is not yet confirmed, it is best to check the dates directly before booking.
