Description of the campsite
Camping de l'Océan is in Carcans, beside Lake Carcans-Maubuisson, the largest of the lakes dotted along the Atlantic coast of the Médoc among pine forests and dunes. The ocean beach, on the other side of the strip of forest, attracts both swimmers and surfers, while the lake itself offers calmer waters for sailing and canoeing. The campsite offers an ideal setting for resting after days at the beach or walking the trails that run between lake and ocean. The campsite is open from 6 April to 11 October, although it is advisable to confirm the exact dates when booking.
