Description of the campsite
Plouarzel looks out over the westernmost point of mainland France, near the Pointe de Corsen, from where on clear days the silhouette of the island of Ouessant can be seen floating over the Iroise Sea. Camping Municipal de Porsévigné keeps a simple offer, centred on the coastline itself: low cliffs, fine-sand beaches and the lighthouse that watches over the passage between the English Channel and the Atlantic. It is a good starting point for those travelling to Ouessant by ferry or simply looking for the wildest end of the Breton coast, far from the more touristy areas of Finistère. The landscape here changes constantly with the tide and the wind.
