Ploemel, near Auray and the estuary of the same name, lies a short distance from the Gulf of Morbihan coast, in an area of menhirs and rural chapels scattered across the Breton interior before reaching the sea. Camping de Kergo has barbecue areas, bungalows, glamping, a jacuzzi, a table tennis table, a sauna, a spa, a supermarket and wifi, with the beach a short distance away and good access to hiking routes in the area. Auray, with its Saint-Goustan quarter and its timber-framed houses, can be visited in a few minutes' drive.
