Description of the campsite
Serrières-en-Chautagne lies in the Chautagne, an area of marshes and vineyards between Lake Bourget and the Rhône, in northern Savoie, little known despite its closeness to Aix-les-Bains and Annecy. Camping Le Clairet offers bungalows with takeaway food, a playground, pétanque and wifi, in a setting of wetlands and riverside woods typical of this corner of Savoie. The hiking trails follow the canals and dykes that have drained the area for centuries. It is a quiet base for discovering the Chautagne, its vineyards and its nature reserves, far from the mass tourism of the neighbouring great Alpine lakes.
