Doussard closes off the south of Lake Annecy, one of the cleanest in Europe, with a great plain of meadows and small rivers before the mountains close in again. Camping La Nublière offers a bar, bungalows, a playground, a swimming pool, a nearby beach, a sauna, hiking and a spa, in an Alpine setting by the water. The intensely blue lake is ideal for swimming, sailing and paddleboarding, while the nearby trails climb towards the heights of the Tournette. It operates in season; checking the exact opening days by writing to the campsite, before travelling, is sensible.
