Camping Saignelégier sits at the edge of a vast, quiet forest, in a wooded meadow at 1,000 metres above sea level in the Franches-Montagnes. It offers a back-to-nature experience with no marked-out pitches and no compulsory reservations, letting guests freely choose their spot according to availability. The campsite stands out for its environmental philosophy: it uses solar energy for lighting in the toilet blocks and gas for heating water, with no electricity on the pitches. It has innovative accommodation such as tree cabins, a geodesic dome, yurts and tipis that sleep from 6 to 16 people. Fires are allowed on the pitches.
