Description of the campsite
Merino Vacanze campsite is located in the bay of Santa Maria di Merino, 7 km from Vieste, on the Apulia coast. Its name recalls the ancient Roman town of Merinum, whose remains, including an early Christian necropolis, lie 100 metres away. It covers about 50,000 m² among pines, eucalyptus and olive trees, and offers 300 pitches, as well as bungalows, caravans and small brick-built villas (villette) for 4-5 people. It has a large pool with hydromassage, a restaurant and bar by the pool and the beach, as well as a laundry and hot showers. The fine-sand beach, with a gentle slope, is protected by rocks and has clear water. The campsite is open from 16 May to 12 September.
