Description of the campsite
Maia Camping is in Lama dei Peligni, in the heart of the Majella National Park, and describes itself as a vegan and ethical mountain campsite. It offers tent pitches, bungalows and wooden cabins for up to five people with private bathroom. Pitches cost 10 euros per person per night, the double room 45 euros, and animals and children under six stay free. Its facilities include hot showers, barbecues, a library, water and electricity connections on the pitch, and a motorhome area with a waste-water disposal point. It is a completely vegan and antispeciesist space, with quiet guaranteed from 23:00 to 8:00. Dogs are accepted and hiking routes through the natural surroundings are organised.
