Camping Pegomas is in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, in the Bouches-du-Rhône department of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, at the foot of the Alpilles, near the Roman ruins of Glanum and the former monastery of Saint-Paul-de-Mausole, where Van Gogh lived. It is a seasonal campsite with a bar and bungalow accommodation, as well as a playground and pétanque, and it offers a pool and waymarked hiking trails. Its setting of olive groves and limestone hills of the Alpilles invites walks along the paths that inspired the painter, visits to the stone villages of the area and exploring Les Baux-de-Provence, perched on its rock.
