Description of the campsite
A naturist campsite on an 80-hectare wooded estate bordered by a river, between the Gorges du Verdon and the Mercantour National Park: that is Le Haut Chandelalar, in Briançonnet, in the Alpes-Maritimes. The semi-Olympic pool is heated with wood to protect the environment, a river to cool off in lies about a 30-minute walk away, and in July and August a guided excursion leaves from the campsite. The grassy pitches, with variable shade, measure at least 100 m². The restaurant serves traditional cuisine in a flowery setting, the bread comes out every morning from a 19th-century wood-fired oven, and the library, with 1,200 books in three languages, is freely accessible. Open from May to mid-September.
