In Saint-Jean-de-Monts, the Vendée offers one of the longest and flattest beaches on the French Atlantic coast, with a lively seafront promenade and maritime pine dunes that stretch north to Notre-Dame-de-Monts. Camping Les Aventuriers de la Calypso turns it into a complete family holiday: bungalows, an outdoor and an indoor swimming pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna, with a bar, a restaurant and takeaway food, pool table, pétanque, ping-pong and a playground so that there is never a dull day, all with wifi and television in the accommodation. Dogs are allowed and there is a spa for adults, with the beach a short walk from the site. The campsite operates all season, although it is advisable to confirm the exact dates before booking.
