Description of the campsite
Val Roma Park is in Maureillas-las-Illas, in the Vallespir, the Pyrenean area that opens towards Spain through Le Boulou and the Albères massif. The cork oak forests covering these slopes have given work for generations to the area's cork harvesters, a trade that can still be traced in the nearby villages. The campsite has takeaway food, table tennis, a pool, a restaurant and hiking routes that climb towards the border. Amélie-les-Bains and its hot springs are a short trip away. As the season status is not yet confirmed, it is best to ask directly for the opening dates before booking.
