Poussan, between Gigean and the Étang de Thau lagoon, nestles in the Languedoc garrigue (Mediterranean scrubland), with Mont Saint-Baudille overlooking the landscape of olive groves and vineyards around this Hérault village, little visited by coastal tourism. Camping Le Garel offers bungalows, indoor and outdoor pools and wifi, dogs are allowed, and the beach is a short drive away towards Sète or the beaches on the Étang de Thau. It is a peaceful base for discovering this Mediterranean garrigue (scrubland) and its stone villages without the bustle of the neighbouring coast.
