Description of the campsite
Meyronne looks out from the left bank of the Dordogne, on a stretch of the valley where the river separates the Lot from the Périgord and where old mills and golden stone castles mark every meander. Camping La Plage, a simple campsite, has a bar, takeaway food, a playground and a pool, with direct access to a river beach on the Dordogne itself for swimming in summer, and a spa for relaxing. It is a quiet spot from which to paddle up the Dordogne by canoe or visit Rocamadour, the sanctuary perched on a cliff, and Souillac, a few minutes away by car. It is advisable to check the season's opening dates with the campsite before planning the visit.
