L'Hospitalet-du-Larzac sits in the heart of the Larzac causse (limestone plateau), the great limestone plateau of the Aveyron, famous for its sheep pastures and the Roquefort cheese that matures in its natural caves, near Millau. Camping au Tour de l'Aveyron makes the most of this rural setting with a restaurant where you can try Larzac cooking, plus a bar for quiet afternoons on this little-travelled upland plateau. Pétanque fills the rest of the free time, and hiking across the plateau lets you discover the landscape. It is best to confirm the calendar directly with the campsite in advance.
