Description of the campsite

At 1100 m above sea level in the Haute-Ariège, 10 minutes from Ax-les-Thermes, Camping Ascou la Forge is family-friendly and welcoming, with spacious pitches and a separate tent area with no cars. It rents out 3 chalets, 6 bungalows (mobile homes) and 3 yurts (glamping). You can stroll among the horses and animals of the country guesthouse, around Lake Goulours, and nearby there are hiking, mountain biking, fishing and climbing; in winter you wake up in the snow and put on snowshoes right from the chalet. The Ascou-Pailhères ski resort is 10 minutes away and the cross-country trails of the col du Chioula 15. The restaurant serves guests and passers-by. It is in Ascou, in Ariège, and is open from early January to late December.
