Description of the campsite
The island of Oléron shares among vineyards, oyster farms and pine woods one of the gentlest coastlines on the French Atlantic, and Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron, its historic capital, keeps that seafaring-village air far from the traffic of the bridge linking it to the mainland. Camping Les Pins offers simple bungalows with the beach very close to the site, among pine woods that shelter the dunes from the ocean wind. It is a discreet base for touring the island by bike, visiting the oyster-farming harbours of La Cotinière or Boyardville, and enjoying the quieter beaches of the south of Charente-Maritime. The island atmosphere and unhurried pace shape the whole stay. The exact opening dates are still to be confirmed: it is best to check them directly with the campsite.
