Description of the campsite
Lalinde lies on the bank of the Dordogne, one of the first bastides (fortified new towns) founded by the English in medieval Périgord, with its arcaded square still intact after seven centuries of history. Camping Le Parc is near that river with an indoor and outdoor pool, bungalows and glamping tents for those without their own gear, as well as a restaurant with a takeaway food service. Dogs are welcome throughout the site, and the bar is the focus of the quiet afternoons by the water. The river beach allows swimming in the waters of the Dordogne after a canoe trip along this stretch of the river, famous for its castles and medieval bastides. It is advisable to check the dates with the campsite.
