Domme crowns a promontory above the Dordogne valley with views considered among the most beautiful in France, overlooking bastides, castles and river meanders until they fade into the horizon of the Périgord Noir. Camping Le Moulin de Caudon, a seasonal campsite, occupies an old mill beside the river, with a bar, barbecue areas, billiards, bungalows, takeaway food, a gym, glamping, pétanque, a swimming pool and a supermarket, as well as direct access to the river beach. From here it is a short trip to Sarlat, La Roque-Gageac and the castles of Beynac and Castelnaud, which watch over the river from opposite banks. As this is a seasonal campsite, it is advisable to confirm the exact opening dates before booking your stay.
