Description of the campsite
Saint-Jory-de-Chalais lies within the Périgord Vert, the lesser-known part of the Dordogne, more wooded and less touristy than the Périgord Noir of castles and prehistoric caves. Camping Le Lieu has glamping tents for those who want comfort without giving up the outdoors, alongside its own pool. Fishing is possible in the nearby ponds, and hiking in the woods of the Périgord Vert takes up much of the stay. The campsite is open for the full season, so it is wise to book ahead during the middle months of summer.
