Clohars-Carnoët includes the coastal village of Le Pouldu, where Gauguin painted during his Breton stays, with fine-sand beaches between the mouth of the Laïta and the Atlantic Ocean, on the border between Finistère and Morbihan. Camping du Pouldu, a seasonal campsite, has a bar, billiards, bungalows, takeaway food and a pool. The beach is a short distance away, ideal after a walk along the coast path. It is a comfortable base for walking the coastal path towards Guidel or paddling a canoe up the Laïta through woods to Quimperlé.
