Description of the campsite
Le Pouldu shaped the life of Gauguin and his fellow painters at the end of the nineteenth century, at the mouth of the Laïta, where Clohars-Carnoët shares fine-sand beaches among the low cliffs of southern Finistère. Camping de Locouarn combines bungalows and glamping tents with a playground, a fishing area and a swimming pool, as well as hiking trails that follow the estuary. It is a charming base for discovering Pont-Aven and its school of painters, as well as the lesser-known coves of the southern Breton coast. The campsite is open without breaks during the season, although it is best to check the exact dates before booking.
