Description of the campsite
Tain-l'Hermitage rises on the banks of the Rhône, opposite Tournon, at the foot of the Hermitage hill, whose terraced vineyards produce some of the most prestigious wines of the Rhône valley. The Camping Municipal Les Lucs, locally run, offers a pétanque court, in a quiet setting by the river. Walking up among the Hermitage vines to the hermitage chapel that gives the hill its name, with views over the valley, is the classic excursion of the area. It opens in season; confirming the exact opening dates with the town hall, before travelling, is advisable.
