Saint-Jorioz occupies the west shore of Lake Annecy, one of the cleanest lakes in Europe, with the Bauges massif rising just behind and a greenway that runs along the whole shore to Annecy itself. Camping Europa, a seasonal campsite, has a bar, a restaurant, takeaway food, a pool and a playground for families, bungalows for those without a tent, and a bathing area on the lake a short distance away. It is a convenient base for hiking in the Bauges or cycling beside the water. As this is a seasonal campsite, it is advisable to confirm the exact opening dates before your visit.
