Description of the campsite
Camping des Grottes is in Perrier, in the Puy-de-Dôme département, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, beside the volcanic cliffs and the village's old troglodyte dwellings, beside the Couze Pavin, near Issoire. It is a seasonal campsite with a fridge, gas for sale and washbasins, as well as a laundry and electrical hook-ups on the pitches, and it has a playground, pétanque and table tennis. Dogs are allowed and ice is on sale. The setting of volcanic crags and the Limagne plain is ideal for walks along the valleys of the Couze Pavin and the Allier, visiting the troglodyte caves carved into the rock and discovering the volcanic villages around Issoire.
