Description of the campsite
At 950 metres altitude, among the mountains of the Margeride, Camping Le Galier has 77 large pitches, of at least 150 m², on 4 sunny or partly shaded hectares, next to 7 hectares of wild pine forest. The River Limagnole runs through it, and to the west the Aubrac plateaus open out. There are 19 accommodations, including equipped bungalows and wooden POD cabins, and it is the only campsite in the Lozère with a covered water area. In season, on Wednesdays you can swim at night under the stars and there are wood-fired pizza evenings. It carries the Accueil Vélo label and is 8 km from exit 34 of the A75, in Saint-Alban-sur-Limagnole. It is open from mid-April to mid-September.
