Description of the campsite
Campingplatz Marienort lies on the Rhine, in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley (UNESCO World Heritage Site), at the foot of Reichenstein Castle, in Trechtingshausen. The grass pitches are spacious, with electricity, and many have direct views of the Rhine and the boats. A separate tent meadow beside the Morgenbach stream has room for playing. There are about 70 seasonal pitches with an international neighbourhood, a Biergarten as a meeting point and a ramp for launching small boats. The Rhine cycle route passes alongside, and dogs are welcome on a lead. All of this is in Rhineland-Palatinate, with the forest just outside. Opening dates are best checked with the campsite.
