Description of the campsite
Campingplatz Hertha-See, in Hörstel, is right on the lake, with kilometres of sandy beach. You can camp on the beach itself or on grass, in the sun or under pines and birches, on a site of about 250,000 m². The pitches measure about 100 to 120 m² and have electricity, drinking water, satellite TV and drainage. For children there is a large covered playground and children's entertainment several days a week. There are also beach volleyball, minigolf and table tennis, and bicycles, child seats, pedal karts and a quad bike can be rented. In North Rhine-Westphalia, excursions lead to the Natur-Zoo Rheine and the summer toboggan run in Ibbenbüren. Opening dates are best checked with the campsite.
