Description of the campsite
Werratalsee Naturcamp is right next to the Werratalsee lake, in Meinhard, and is a small nature campsite run by a young family. The atmosphere is relaxed: a tent meadow without pitches or electricity, free toilets and campfires where guests gather. Cars are not allowed in; caravans and motorhomes can stay self-sufficient on the meadow. There are two wooden cabins for 4 and 6 people and dogs are accepted. Canoes, paddle boards and an inflatable boat are for hire, and the bicycles are free. Next door there is a bathing beach, a playground and a beach volleyball court. In Hesse, the Hoher Meißner low mountain range is a few minutes away by car. Opening dates are best checked with the campsite.
