Description of the campsite

Waldcamping Bad Zwesten is tucked away in a forest in Hesse, right next to the Schwalm river. It welcomes families, groups, solo travellers and adults, and has places adapted for people with disabilities with suitable toilets. There are pitches, tent areas, wooden cabins for 4 people and a small rental caravan for 2. Dogs are allowed, with a maximum of two per pitch. A cycle route passes nearby and cyclists can stop or stay overnight. A few minutes on foot away there is an equestrian centre with riding lessons for children. Close at hand are Borken, with its lignite museum (7 km), and Fritzlar (15 km). The Edersee and Schloss Waldeck are 25 km away. Open from late March to November.
