Description of the campsite
Campingplatz Schiefer Turm is on the banks of the Main, in the historic wine town of Kitzingen (Bavaria), about 20 minutes east of Würzburg. There are pitches directly on the bank, flat, of good size and without hedges. There are about 100, of grass or hard standing, and 56 are seasonal. The price includes electricity, water and emptying, rubbish, Wi-Fi and showers. The restaurant, with a biergarten and Franconian cuisine, has direct views of the Main. Bicycles can be rented to explore trails, cycle routes and vineyards, and the Aqua-Sole spa with a wellness area and sauna is nearby. Würzburg, with the Residenz and the Marienberg fortress, is close at hand. Opening dates are best checked with the campsite.
