Description of the campsite
Camping Katzenkopf, in Sommerach, occupies the southern tip of the Mainschleife, next to the Altmain and between two large bathing lakes. It is a family-friendly campsite with about 200 spacious pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, some in the shade of trees and others in the sun with views of the lake. Dogs have their own sandy beach that slopes gently into the water. For humans there is a wellness area with sauna and hot tub included, its own minigolf and bicycle and e-bike rental. The historic wine village of Sommerach borders the campsite, in Bavaria. Opening dates are best checked with the campsite.
