Description of the campsite
Murgtalcamping, in Rastatt, is a stopover for overnight stays on the way south or north: it is close to the A5 motorway, Rastatt exit. It is in Baden-Württemberg, with signposted walking and cycling routes through the forests and along the Murg river; nearby are Rastatt palace and the Schloss Favorit in Kuppenheim. Next to the campsite there is a playground, and the petting zoo in Muggensturm is within walking distance. Several clear natural lakes allow bathing, there are thermal baths in Gaggenau (Rotherma) and Kuppenheim (Cuppamare), and Baden-Baden is worth an excursion. Dogs are allowed. Opening dates are best checked with the campsite.
