Description of the campsite

Access is by boat only, from Peniche to Berlenga Grande, then on foot to the camping area, which is for tents. The point on the map marks the campsite on the island; it is not an address you can reach with a caravan or motorhome. Book your pitch by writing to campismo.berlenga@cm-peniche.pt and arrange the crossing with the boat operator before you travel. Parque de Campismo da Berlenga is on the island of Berlenga Grande, off Peniche (Leiria), in a nature reserve where access is limited to 550 visitors at a time. In 2026, the tent area was open from 1 June to 13 September and has room for 39 tents in three types: 6 pitches for 2 people, 16 for 3 people and 17 for 4 people. The rate is €8 per night per tent. To go to the island you must register on the Berlengas-Pass platform and pay an entry fee of €3 per person. The regulations allow a stay of at most five consecutive days or ten non-consecutive days; Berlengas-Pass does not set that limit by itself.
