Description of the campsite
Updated notice (22-09-2026): according to the Município de Leiria, which runs the park directly, it is open all year except 24 and 25 December. The bungalows and tipis were destroyed by Storm Kristin in January 2026 and there is no date for their replacement: currently only the camping area is operating. Camping Praia de Pedrógão is a few metres from Pedrógão beach, in Coimbrão (Leiria, Portugal), surrounded by a pine forest historically planted by the poet king D. Dinis. Before the storm, the site had its own restaurant, bar, supermarket, butcher's and fishmonger's, a pool, an indoor pool, tennis courts, a laundry, a playground, wifi and electricity; please check with the municipal management which of these are available. Dogs are allowed. The city of Leiria and its castle are less than 30 minutes away by car.
