Description of the campsite
Quinta de Odelouca is a small adults-only campsite in Vale Grande de Baixo, São Marcos da Serra, in the inland Algarve of Portugal. It is open only from 1 January to 31 May, with a two-night minimum stay. It sits in a wide valley with panoramic views of the surrounding hills, in an area where flocks of sheep and goats can still be seen. The beaches of the south coast are 35 km away and Albufeira is 30 km away. Facilities include a pool, wifi, electricity, hot showers, barbecues and shade. Dogs are allowed and there is access adapted for people with reduced mobility. The campsite has eco certification.
Access with a caravan or motorhome: use the long route indicated by the campsite, passing the blue bridge over the railway, north of Montes das Pitas. After the bridge, follow the signs for Quinta de Odelouca and avoid satnav shortcuts.
