Description of the campsite
Il Rifugio dell'Aquila - Villaggio is in Ventasso, Reggio Emilia, at an altitude of 1,000 metres, on an area of 30,000 square metres among woods, facilities and gardens. It offers accommodation in bungalows, as well as camere (rooms) and chalets, in the tranquillity of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines National Park. The construction is entirely of wood, reducing its environmental impact. Its facilities include a restaurant, indoor swimming pool, spa, sauna, jacuzzi, playground and nature park, as well as activities such as hiking. In 2015 it was declared a UNESCO MaB Reserve, and it is run by the cooperative San Rocco Società Cooperativa di Comunità.
